Stax Records is an iconic American record label known for its contributions to the development of soul music in the 1960s and 1970s. Founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1957, Stax became a powerhouse in the music industry, releasing hits from legendary artists such as Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, and Booker T. & the M.G.'s.
